Run Away With Me!

Or just run the Martian 1/2 Marathon in Northville, MI on April 1st, 2007- either one is fine. So this is my shout out to all runners (some of you don’t realize it yet that you are one- stop denying it!). Join me! This is your chance to have a personal running coach at your side pushing you along during training and race day. Come on! Don’t say “I hate running.” You know that you can. I will help you! Please? Ok, so training starts mid-January. It’s so redonkulously fun to run in the winter too.

Running is on my small list of things that have changed my life. What are some of the other things on that list? Well let’s see, Jesus is locked in at #1 and the others are scattered randomly- the Launch experience (now called Yelo) @ Mosaic, living in LA & TW, the recently disbanded to all corners of the earth “Holy Hotties”, formerly of Mosaic, now starting up chapters all around the country and beyond, Ari my Hebrew-lion cat (I feel that it’s getting me ready to be a parent), the Latte, Trader Joe’s, peanut-butter fudge, and the list goes on…

Change your life and/or run another race (there’s a 10K and marathon that day too- your choice!):

“If I become President, I’ll make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and scientists. I am convinced that UFOs exist because I have seen one.”
-President Jimmy Carter during his Presidential campaign.

P.S.

Has anyone see that new Superman movie? What did you think?

P.S.S or is it P.P.S

What’s the furthest you’ve run before? Why? (ie. you were being chased for a long time, you were late for church and your car broke down, you dropped your ipod ear-phone foamy covering somewhere between here and South Pasadena)

(I think I lost control of this blog- is this showing up in italics? What the heck? No idea why that is happening…)

Digital Delights

Hola.

Here are some photos from the past few months up until recently I thought I’d share…

The Fritzer’s (my nephew) first birthday party…here he is being sung “Happy Birthday” by lots of crazy adults with cameras pointed at him. (Maybe we sounded bad? I certainly was in tune though, so it wasn’t me.)

Happy First to the Fritzer

He is surely capable of smiles though…

Switching gears…this is moi, Andrea, and her soon to be husband Mark in the early early early morning before the Chicago Marathon this past October…

Post race— all joy but a smidgered-bit tired…

One of my last nights in LA- I have a comfy lap. (sister Jess)

Jess taking a nap, Sarah thinking you’re Stephen, and me wondering why Jess had a sudden bout of the smiley narcolepsies…

The Ari Who Stole Christmas

Welcome to the newest blog in the universe. I hope you’ll sign up for email updates to keep in sync with the thrilling ride I’m on here in the heart beat of America- Detroit!

I’m back in Michigan, freezing my keester off, job hunting, cat chasing, church going, and other exciting daily rituals.

Well, to start I’d thought I’d give you a quick run down of my lovely cat Ari’s activities today, since they were extra special. I think she may not have gotten her beauty sleep last night because she was in a ferocious mood today. She started off the day by knocking over the newly decorated Christmas tree in my parent’s house. Yup, the whole blue spruce- flopped over on its side, popsicle stick ornaments and all. Needles flying, lights breaking and one fast moving cat. Can you picture it? After having some go-to-your-room time, I brought her down to make her apology to my folks. They didn’t buy it. The spray bottle now sits on the table next to the tree for any unwanted guests who feel like swatting at some enticing shiny things or drinking tree water.

Next on the list for little miss Ari was to invade the fire place. I was upstairs at the time…but all I heard was my mom yelling “Get out of there!”- complete with ash covered paws, she bolted across the nice white carpet up to her room once again. Good times
That’s all for now. Hope you’ll keep in touch! (Sign up for email updates - see right column)
