About a Boy

You know you're something special when you make it on my blog. So Nick this post is for you.

Nick was starting to wonder why he hasn't been mentioned in my blog, that's a great question. The answer is because I've been lazy about blogging in general, as you may have noticed. The silence is temporarily over.

Who is Nick? Nick is my special friend. Ok, fine I'll say it, he's my b-o-y-f-r-i-e-n-d. Eeeeeek! We've been doing the dating cha-cha-cha since early January now. It's absolutely enjoyable. Why? Here's why... I will use a list, because I love them.

Nick is (things that make knowing him, spending time with him, and dating him so great- in no particular order):

fun, silly, serious, gentle, tall, sweet, a cyclist, confident, a fan of the Office, the best dish washer I know, quiet, generous, driven, intense, sentimental, careful, probably a J, plays the geee-tar, likes Nickel Creek, has quality time as one of his love languages, just this morning watched Ellen with a roll of Girl Scout cookies in hand, has a dad who was a hand-model (ok, it was only a one time thing and is kind of an exaggerated title), fiercely devoted to his family, a coffee lover, but will only drink it if it's offered to him by his mom or my mom or at the free coffee station at Trader Joe's, works hard at work, falling for Ari even though he's a bit allergic to her, a follower of Jesus.

There's more, but let's all just marinate in those things for a while.

Now some visuals aids.

This one is always a crowd pleaser.
Miller Park in Milwaukee, right Nick?

This was the day before I left for the desert- he helped me pack my crazy heavy backpack- what a lifesaver he was with a last minute trip to REI to swap out my hipbelt- his packing skills make my hike so much better.

Beardlessly driving the Toyota pretending to be part of the CHP
(he currently is without beard)

Beardless with those electric baby blues

Flirting with Ari, who pretends to not like him, but secretly loves him (with the help of cat treats, cat nip, and some quality fetching time, yes my cat fetches things)

So that's my Nick.

Out of the desert

I'm back. I'm still processing, but wanted to give some photos of the trip so far. My time in Los Angeles was so awesome, the desert trip was intense. So here they are...more to come with my thoughts and experiences shared. A few previews below.
